Do not always be attracted by the comparison sites that promise cheap prices, quote a cheap rate but then when you pick up your car you realise that the price is more expensive because certain items had not been added to the price. Some items to be aware of are within the terms and conditions of the rental company you have placed your booking with. Do you know whether you will need to pre-pay for a full tank of petrol and return the car with an empty tank of petrol. Are you aware you may be required to buy additional insurance to cover the 'third party liability insurance excess fee'. On occasions it has been known that you may be asked to leave a deposit if you don't buy this. Most of us are time poor and don't have the time to shop around but it really is in your interest to investigate who you are booking with.
